The Saxon Textile Research Institute (STFI)

The Saxon Textile Research Institute (STFI) can look back on more than 25 years of success in the field of not-for-profit research. With its location in Chemnitz, the Institute feels an obligation to uphold the long-standing tradition of textile research in Saxony. The R&D work focusing on process and product reflects both classic textile technologies and innovative, unconventional solutions for a wide range of applications. The STFI fosters knowledge transfer between companies and research facilities in Germany and abroad, and offers its expertise in support of the regional textile industry. The STFI is also an accredited inspection body carrying out certification procedures for customers from over 50 countries worldwide.
